At Sherpa Editing, we believe in helping writers create their best possible work. We see ourselves as guides on your road to the top, like the fearless Sherpas who guide hikers up Mt. Everest.
Who are we? We’re writers, literary agents, products of Taylor University’s professional writing major, and, of course, editors. The five of us work together to help you climb your Mt. Everest.
Sarah is an award-winning novelist, screenwriter, and freelance writer, having studied professional writing at Taylor University and screenwriting through the Los Angeles Film Studies Center. In Los Angeles, she interned with Wind Dancer Films on their PBS Kids show Ready Jet Go!, and her aspirations include pursuing her MA in Screenwriting across the pond, writing for television, and publishing her novels. Sarah hails from Chicagoland, home of superior pizza and terrible weather, and when not writing, she enjoys rollerblading, soccer, forensic science, and illustration. Check her out on her website, slgorman.com.
As well as editing for Sherpa and working for Cyle Young Literary Elite, Megan Burkhart is a professional writing student at Taylor University with a love for YA Fantasy and Children’s Picture Books. She’s an avid blogger and has published several book reviews and devotions. When she’s not writing or reading, she enjoys travel with her family, but she will always be smitten with the mitten state of Michigan, which she calls home. Beyond writing, she loves epic instrumental playlists on Spotify, Paris themed decor, and the smell of old and new books alike. You can find out more about Megan at her website meganlynneauthor.weebly.com.
Theresa Hughes is a Professional Writing graduate of Taylor University where she is learning to hone her writing craft to produce works of quality that will sell. With a mother who sells children’s books and a thirst for adventure, she began making up stories at a very young age. Her love of books grew throughout her childhood, prompted by great stories and the scenic beauty of her hometown of West Chester, PA. Her current projects include writing her debut YA sci-fi novel, posting videos on her YouTube channel wisegirlbooks, and blogging about her love of stories at wisegirlbooks.weebly.com.
